Welcome to the land of "TeaCake Kids"® Where you will find clothing and accessories featuring children of color. "TeaCake Kids"® was founded in 1990, by Jonquil Akhir after realizing there was a void in Quality children's Apparel featuring positive images of African American children or other children of color. Her objective was to create a line of clothing and accessories to promote positive self esteem and ethnic pride in children of color from infants through age 10 years. She felt these first years were very important in a child's life to see images of themselves. "TeaCake Kids"®is committed to offering a quality product. Every item features an applique of a child playing with blocks, cars, balloons, basketball and even a ballerina. Our current product line consist of infant items, youth T-shirt and hair accessories. "TeaCake Kids"® makes perfect gifts for baby showers birthdays, Christmas/Kwanzaa or just any occasion.

Remember those "TEA CAKES" baked by our grandmothers and our mothers Recipes maybe similar yet different from each other Our Children are like those "TEA CAKES"; no two are quite the same If we let them lose their heritage, we only have ourselves to blame. Black awareness and self-esteem: we cannot afford to lose Imagine your child's face on any "TEA CAKE" article that you choose. For our African-American youth, their challenges lie ahead But while they are young - let's call them "TEA CAKE KIDS" instead.
